龚祈，字盖道，武陵汉寿人也。从祖玄之，父黎人，并不应征辟。祈风姿端雅，容止可观。中书郎范述，见之叹曰："此荆楚之仙人也。"自少及长，征辟一无所就。时或赋诗，而言不及世事。卒年四十二。
