宋史卷四百五十二 列传第二百一十一：
龚楫字济道，兵部侍郎原之孙，世以儒学显。楫懦如不胜衣。建炎初，闻金人陷郡县，辄忿恚不食，念有以自见而不可得。兀术据和州，以偏师万人筑堡新塘，遏绝濡须之路。楫率家僮百余人袭之，乡里从者三千余人，获千户二，系累者数百人，辎重称是。纵遣所掠州民父母妻子，将归于滁、和镇抚司。遇金兵大至，乃取道圩上，金骑兵据其冲，不得前，众多赴水死。楫麾其众曰："今日斗死亦足称义士，自弃沟渎无益也。"战败，为金人所获，犹挺剑刺其一人，骂不绝口，金人脔割之。年二十二。
金人初至新塘，有蒋子春者，教授里中。金人见其挟书，又人物秀整，喜之，欲命以官，子春怒骂，乃杀之。
