清史稿卷四百九十七 列传二百八十四：
黄有则，湖南邵阳人。四岁丧父，母孙劬苦育以长。遣就傅，或迂之，孙曰：“吾忍死，不欲儿废学也。”有则大感恸，奋学，客授养母。夏无帐，主人以进，命撤之，曰：“吾母无此也。”寒为制棉衣，又卻之，曰：“家贫，无以暖母，不忍享奇温。”一夕风雪，既寐，复起，行三十里归省母。母喜曰：“吾正思儿。”是时母逾九十，有则亦六十矣。母丧，以毁卒。
