清史稿卷四百二 列传一百八十九：
鲁占鼇，四川成都人。由行伍官平番营守备，从向荣剿贼广西、江南。继从吉尔杭阿克上海，攻镇江，战皆力，累擢川北镇总兵，调建昌镇。苏州陷，为贼所执，骂贼被脔割，死之。赠提督衔，予骑都尉兼云骑尉世职。
