旧唐书卷六十五 列传第十五：
子履行，贞观初历祠部郎中。丁母忧，哀悴逾礼。太宗遣使谕之曰："孝子之道，毁不灭性。汝宜强食，不得过礼。"服阕，累迁滑州刺史。尚太宗女东阳公主，拜驸马都尉。十九年，除户部侍郎，加银青光禄大夫。无几，遭父艰，居丧复以孝闻，太宗手诏敦喻曰："古人立孝，毁不灭身。闻卿绝粒，殊乖大体，幸抑摧裂之情，割伤生之累。"俄起为卫尉卿，进加金紫光禄大夫，袭爵申国公。永徽元年，拜户部尚书、检校太子詹事、太常卿。显庆元年，出为益州大都督府长史。先是，士廉居此职，颇著能名。至是，履行继之，亦有善政，大为人吏所称。三年，坐与长孙无忌亲累，左授洪州都督，转永州刺史，卒于官。
履行弟真行，官至右卫将军。其子典膳丞岐，坐与章怀太子阴谋，事泄，诏付真行令自惩诫。真行遂手刃之，仍弃其尸于衢路。高宗闻而鄙之，贬真行为睦州刺史，卒。
