清史稿卷三百十五 列传一百二：
高天喜，甘肃西宁人。天喜本准噶尔人，雍正中为我师所俘。高氏抚为子，因从其族籍。从军，累擢保宁堡守备。乾隆二十二年，副将军兆惠击伊犁，天喜从参将迈斯汉赴援。遇噶勒杂特贼百馀，击杀之，获其驼马。既，闻兆惠被困济尔哈朗，议驰救，迈斯汉怯不进。巴里坤办事大臣雅尔哈善以闻，上即夺迈斯汉官以命天喜。寻迁金塔协副将。再迁西宁镇总兵，授领队大臣。二十三年十月，师攻叶尔羌，兆惠议出间道袭取贼辎重，渡黑水。天喜督兵修桥渡师，未及半，贼大至。天喜闻兆惠陷贼阵，舍桥亟赴之，奋与贼战，与鄂实、三格、特通额俱没於阵。上赋诗惜之。谥果义，又赐其家白金千。
