宋史卷二百七十一 列传第三十：
马令琮，本名令威，避周祖名改之，大名人。父全节，《五代史》有传。全节历横海、定远、昭义、彰德、定武、天雄六节度，皆署令琮为牙校，累授彰德牙内都指挥使、检校尚书左仆射，领勤州刺史。令琮少善骑射，尝从其父平安州及与镇州安重荣战，皆有功，由是知名。晋开运二年，全节卒，令琮起复，拜隰州刺史。汉祖开国，为西京巡检使。周祖受命，改陈州刺史。征兖州，为京城四门外巡检。世宗嗣位，移随州。显德二年，入为虎捷左第一军都指挥使。六年，兼领建州刺史。
太祖即位，出刺怀州。李筠叛，将亲征，召三司张美饷兵食，美言河内密迩上党，令琮日夜储蓄以俟王师。太祖善之，命授团练使。执政言令琮方供亿大军，不可移他郡，故升怀州为团练，以令琮充使，又充先锋都指挥使。泽、潞平，为昭义兵马钤辖。逾年被疾，诏许归郡。乾德元年，卒，年三十九。太祖甚怜之，录其子延恩为殿直。
