清史稿卷四百八十 列传二百六十七：
韩当，字仁父。国模弟子。自沈、史殁后，书院辍讲垂十年，而当继之。其学兼综诸儒，以名教经世，严於儒、佛之辨。家贫，未尝向人称贷。每言立身须自节用始。人有过，於讲学时以危言动之，而不明言其过。闻者内愧沾汗，退而相语曰：“比从韩先生来，不觉自失。”疾亟，谓弟子曰：“吾於文成宗旨，觉有新得。然检点於心，终无受用，小子识之！”味其言，则知其学守仁之外，亦近朱子矣。
