清史稿卷四百九十七 列传二百八十四：
雷显宗，河南陈州人。诸生。父病痪，显宗摩掌热拊父四支，二十七昼夜不倦，父良愈。居数年，复病剧，侍汤药两月馀，竟卒，哀毁柴立。居母丧亦如之。康熙中，岁饥，出米粟济贫乏，代偿其逋赋。有鬻其孥者，赎以归。佽婚葬者三百馀家。显宗年九十，朔望集家人讲孝经、曲礼、内则诸篇，里闬称其家范。
