陆琰，字温玉，吏部尚书琼之从父弟也。父令公，梁中军宣城王记室参军。琰幼孤、好学，有志操。州举秀才。解褐宣惠始兴王行参军，累迁法曹外兵参军，直嘉德殿学士。世祖听览馀暇，颇留心史籍，以琰博学，善占诵，引置左右。尝使制《刀铭》，琰援笔即成，无所点窜，世祖嗟赏久之，赐衣一袭。俄兼通直散骑常侍，副琅邪王厚聘齐，及至邺下而厚病卒，琰自为使主。时年二十馀，风神韶亮，占对闲敏，齐士大夫甚倾心焉。还为云麾新安王主簿，迁安成王长史，宁远府记室参军。太建初，为武陵王明威府功曹史，兼东宫管记。丁母忧去官。五年卒，时年三十四。太子甚伤悼之，手令举哀，加其赙赠，又自制志铭。至德二年，追赠司农卿。
琰寡嗜欲，鲜矜竞，游心经籍，晏如也。其所制文笔多不存本，后主求其遗文，撰成二卷。有弟瑜。
