清史稿卷五百三 列传二百九十：
伯坰，字鲁斯，自号仆射山人，尚书维城从子。少孤，力学，工诗嗜酒，广交游，以国子监生终。书学颜平原、李北海，尝曰：“古人用兔毫，故书有中线，今用羊毫，其精者乃成双钩。吾躭此五十年，才十得三四。”论者谓自刘墉殁，正、行书以伯坰为第一。其执笔，虚小指，以三指包管外，与大指相拒，侧毫入纸，助怒张之势。指腕皆不动，以肘来去，斥古今相承拨镫之说。石如作书，则悬腕双钩，管随指转，两家法大殊。
