宋史卷四百一十九 列传第一百七十八：
金渊，字渊叔，临安府人。嘉定七年进士。历官为太学博士，迁太府寺丞、秘书郎。升著作佐郎兼权司封郎官。迁秘书丞，拜右正言兼工部侍郎。迁将作少监兼侍右郎官，兼国子司业，兼国史编修、实录检讨，兼崇政殿说书。拜监察御史，论曹豳、项寅孙。兼侍讲，迁礼部侍郎，寻兼国子祭酒。迁吏部侍郎，拜右谏议大夫，改左谏议大夫。迁礼部尚书兼给事中。淳祐四年，知贡举，拜端明殿学士、同签书枢密院事。侍御史刘汉弼论渊尸位妨贤，罢政予祠。监察御史刘应起言，落职罢祠。十一年，妻盛氏诉于朝，乞曲加贷宥，少叙官职。诏止量移平江府居住。卒。
