郑立本，江苏萧县人。
清史稿卷四百九十八 列传二百八十五：
郑立本，江苏萧县人。父相德，坐罪戍新疆，立本方四岁。年十八，辞母以求父，母哭而诫之曰：“汝父左手小指缺一节，中有横纹，幸相值，以此为验。”立本贫无赀，乞且行，至库车。闻父戍绥来，绥来至库车，三千馀里，张格尔乱未定，官道塞，乃里粮求路，独行迷失道，还库车。待乱定，乃行至绥来，则父殁已数年。相德在戍授同戍子弟读，殁，弟子为治葬。立本哭墓而病，居二年，相德弟子力护视，故得不死。病起，启父瘗，体久化，左手独存小指，缺一节，有横纹，如母言。立本骇恸，闻其事者皆叹异，乃负骨归葬，往还凡八年。同治中，大学士曾国藩驻军徐州，闻立本事，招往见，立本举孟子召役往，召见不往语，谢不往见。国藩高其义，檄知县以时存问。
