郑燮，江苏兴化人。
清史稿卷五百四 列传二百九十一：
燮，字板桥，江苏兴化人。乾隆元年进士，官山东濰县知县，有惠政。辞官鬻画，作兰竹，以草书中竖长撇法为兰叶，书杂分隶法，自号“六分半书”。诗词皆别调，而有挚语。慷慨啸傲，慕明徐渭之为人。
燮同县李鱓，字复堂。举人。官山东滕县知县。花鸟学林良，多得天趣。
陈撰，字楞山，浙江鄞县人，亦居扬州。举鸿博，不就试。与鱓齐名，写梅尤隽逸。
