旧唐书卷一百九十上 列传第一百四十：
郑世翼，郑州荥阳人也，世为著姓。祖敬德，周仪同大将军。父机，司武中士。世翼弱冠有盛名。武德中，历万年丞、扬州录事参军。数以言辞忤物，称为轻薄。时崔信明自谓文章独步，多所凌轹；世翼遇诸江中，谓之曰："尝闻'枫落吴江冷。'"信明欣然示百余篇。世翼览之未终，曰："所见不如所闻。"投之于江，信明不能对，拥楫而去。世翼贞观中坐怨谤，配流巂州，卒。文集多遗失，撰《交游传》，颇行于时。
