邓尔恒，江苏江宁人。
清史稿卷三百九十六 列传一百八十三：
邓尔恒，字子久，江苏江宁人，总督廷桢子。道光十三年进士，选庶吉士，授编修。出为湖南辰州府知府。父忧，服阕，补云南曲靖府。平寻甸叛回马二花，弥勒土匪吴美、朱顺，招抚昆阳回匪，甚有声绩，擢盐法道，累迁按察使、布政使。咸丰十一年，擢贵州巡抚，未行，调陕西。徐之铭袒回，营将多与通。副将何有保者，之铭私人，尤不法。虑尔恒入觐发其罪，讽有保害之以灭口。尔忄互行次曲靖，宿於知府署。有保使其党史荣、戴玉棠伪为盗，戕之，掠其行橐。有保索所劫物不得，执拷二人。玉棠潜逸，纠党攻杀有保。铎至，擒二人诛之。诏尔恒依阵亡例赐恤，予骑都尉世职，谥文悫。
