晋书卷七十九 列传第四十九：
邈字茂度。父铁，永嘉太守。邈性刚鲠，无所屈挠，颇有理识。累迁侍中。时孝武帝觞乐之后多赐侍臣文诏，辞义有不雅者，邈辄焚毁之，其他侍臣被诏者或宣扬之，故论者以此多邈。后为吴兴太守。孙恩之乱，为贼胡桀、郜骠等所执，害之。贼逼令北面，邈厉声曰："我不得罪天子，何北面之有！"遂害之。邈妻郗氏，甚妒。邈先娶妾，郗氏怨怼，与邈书告绝。邈以其书非妇人词，疑其门下生仇玄达为之作，遂斥玄达。玄达怒，遂投孙恩，并害邈兄弟，竟至灭门。
