谢振定，湖南湘乡人。
清史稿卷三百二十二 列传一百九：
谢振定，字一斋，一字芗泉，湖南湘乡人。乾隆四十五年进士，改庶吉士，散馆授编修。五十九年，考选江南道监察御史。巡视南漕，漕艘阻瓜洲，振定祷於神，风转顺漕艘，人称“谢公风”。六十年，迁兵科给事中。巡视东城，有乘违制车骋於衢者，执而讯之，则和珅妾弟也，语不逊，振定命痛笞之，遂焚其车。曰：“此车岂堪宰相坐耶？”居数日，给事中王锺健希和珅意，假他事劾振定，夺职。和珅败，嘉庆五年，起授礼部主事。迁员外郎，充坐粮厅，监收漕粮，裁革陋规，兑运肃然。十四年，卒。
道光中，振定子兴峣，官河南裕州知州。以卓荐引见，循例奏姓名、里贯。宣宗问：“尔湖南人，乃能为京师语，何也？”兴峣对言：“臣父振定官御史，臣生长京师。”上曰：“尔乃烧车御史子耶？”因褒勉甚至。明日，语军机大臣：“朕少闻烧车御史事，昨乃见其子。”命擢兴峣叙州知府。
