旧唐书卷一百八十九下 列传第一百三十九：
许康佐，父审。康佐登进士第，又登宏词科。以家贫母老，求为知院官，人或怪之，笑而不答。及母亡，服除，不就侯府之辟，君子始知其不择禄养亲之志也，故名益重。迁侍御史，转职方员外郎，累迁至驾部郎中，充翰林侍讲学士，仍赐金紫。历谏议大夫、中书舍人，皆在内庭。为户部侍郎，以疾解职。除兵部侍郎，转礼部尚。卒，年七十二，赠吏部尚书。撰《九鼎记》四卷。
弟尧佐、元佐，尧佐子道敏，并登进士第，历官清显。
