明史卷一百六十四 列传第五十二：
许仕达，歙人。正统十年进士。擢御史。景泰元年四月上疏言灾沴数见，请帝痛自修省。帝深纳之。未几，复请于经筵之余，日延儒臣讲论经史。帝亦优诏褒答。巡按福建，劾镇守中官廖秀，下之狱。秀讦仕达，下镇守侍郎薛希琏等廉问。会仕达亦劾希琏贪纵，乃命凯及御史王豪往勘。还奏，两人互有虚实。而耆老数千人乞留仕达，给事中林聪，闽人也，亦为仕达言。乃命留任，且敕希琏勿构郤。仕达厉风纪，执漳州知府马嗣宗送京师。大理寺劾其擅执，帝以执赃吏不问。期满当代，耆老诣阙请留，不许。未几，即以为福建左参政。天顺中，历山东、贵州左、右布政使。
