蒋士铨，铅山人。
清史稿卷四百八十五 列传二百七十二：
蒋士铨，字心馀，铅山人。家故贫，四岁，母锺氏授书，断竹篾为点画，攒簇成字教之。既长，工为文，喜吟咏。由举人官中书。乾隆二十二年，成进士，授编修。文名藉甚，裘曰修、彭元瑞并荐其才。旋乞病归。帝屡从元瑞询之，元瑞之士铨母老对。帝赐诗元瑞，有“江西两名士”之句。士铨感恩眷，力疾起补官，记名以御史用。未几，仍以病乞休，遂卒，年六十二。
士铨赋性悱恻，以古贤者自励，急人之难如不及。诗词雄杰，至叙述节烈，能使读者感泣。著忠雅堂集。少时与武宁汪轫、南昌杨垕为昆弟交，出入必偕，财物与共。
