宋史卷四百五十五 列传第二百一十四：
莫谦之，常州宜兴僧人也。德祐元年，纠合义士捍御乡闾，诏为溧阳尉。是冬，没于战陈，赠武功大夫。
时万安僧亦起兵，举旗曰"降魔"，又曰："时危聊作将，事定复为僧。"旋亦败死。
