宋史卷二百八十八列 传第四十七：
子奇字中济，阶祖雍荫，签书并州判官。以唐介荐，神宗赐对，提举修在京仓。三司使又荐，按覆营缮，匠吏积为欺隐，惧罪，造飞语间之。神宗遣大阉张茂则察其无私，劳之曰："为吏当如是，无恤人言。"授户部判官，为湖南转运副使。建言："梅山蛮恃险为边患，宜拓取之。"后章惇开五溪，议由此起。
入判将作监。使于辽，导者改路回远，子奇谓曰："此去云中有直道，旬日可至，何为出此？"导者又欲沮子奇下马馆门外，子奇曰："异时于中门下马，今何以辄易？"导者计屈。历河东、陕西、河北、京东四路转运使，工部、左司二郎中，加直龙图阁，使河北。诸郡犹榷盐，奏罢之。
元祐初，为将作监、司农卿，复使陕西，以病解。起知郑州，加集贤殿修撰、知河阳。召权户部侍郎。删酒户苛禁及奴婢告主给赏法。未几，出知庆州，广储蓄，缮城栅，严守备，羁黠羌，推诚待下，人乐为用。入为吏部侍郎，以待制致仕，卒，年六十三。子坦。
