明史卷一百九十九 列传第八十七：
子纯、继。纯以父任知肇庆府，有才行。继幼不慧，不为世宁知。世宁在江西出讨贼，部将入见继。继为指阵法，进退离合甚详，凡三日。世宁归阅，大异之。知其故，叹曰：“吾有子不自识，何也？”自是击贼，辄令继从，与策方略。世宁十不失三，继十不失一。世宁方草疏论宸濠，继请曰：“是且重得祸。”世宁曰：“吾已许国，遑恤其他。”及世宁下狱，继念其父，病死。
