宋史卷四百五十六 列传第二百一十五：
胡仲尧，洪州奉新人。累世聚居，至数百口。构学舍于华林山别墅，聚书万卷，大设厨廪，以延四方游学之士。南唐李煜时尝授寺丞。雍熙二年，诏旌其门闾。仲尧诣阙谢恩，赐白金器二百两。淳化中，州境旱歉，仲尧发廪减市直以振饥民，又以私财造南津桥。太宗嘉之，除本州助教，许每岁以香稻时果贡于内东门。五年，遣弟仲容来贺寿宁节。召见仲容，特授试校书郎，赐袍笏犀带，又以御书赐之。公卿多赋诗称美。仲尧稍迁国子监主簿，致仕，卒。
