清史稿卷四百八十九 列传二百七十六：
罗江泰，字静波，浙江黄岩人。家贫，习贾。去贾投营，由外委历擢游击，皆在浙；由参将至副将在闽，总兵又在浙。前后与提督李长庚相左右，而在闽功特显。长庚锐意剿海寇蔡牵，专意外洋，凡阃内事均以属江泰。贼船高大，官军仰攻失利，檄江泰造霆艇。艇成，陵贼船，贼大困，南走福建。江泰於白犬洋、四礵屿、头东｛目各｝役俱有功，护海坛总兵。遂赴南洋，合金门总兵何定江截牵去路，横击於铜山，追至浮鹰洋。贼冲礁走，匿山上。江泰搜山，擒贼目王朱，又焚贼船於仰月横山，贼皆堕水死。在闽逾年，凡十击贼，号“敢死军”。贼见江泰军，辄引去。擢总兵，镇金门。九年，移镇定海。是时牵南窜台湾，长庚正总闽、浙水军，同心戮力，誓杀牵。十年九月，牵船泊道头，忽遁去。江泰从瓯洋会八总兵追之，至尽山，失牵所在。黑云起海上，亟令移港，风骤至，白波山立，群舟相击触，顷刻破碎。江泰大船帆重不可下，下及尺，船遽不知所终。朝命沿海各省探访，久之无得者，葬衣冠黄岩。
