程通，绩溪人。尝上书太祖，乞除其祖戍籍。词甚哀，竟获请。已，授辽府纪善。燕师起，从王泛海归京师，上封事数千言，陈御备策，进左长史。永乐初，从王徙荆州。有言其前上封事多指斥者。械至，死于狱。家属戍边。并捕其友人徽州知府黄希范，论死，籍其家。
