新唐书卷一百九十五 列传第一百二十：
程袁师，宋州人。母病，十旬不褫带，药不尝不进。代弟戍洛州。母终，闻讣，日走二百里，因负土筑坟，号癯，人不复识。改葬曾门以来，阅二十年乃毕。常有白狼、黄蛇驯墓左，每哭，群鸟鸣翔。永徽中，刺史状诸朝，诏吏敦驾。既至，不愿仕，授儒林郎，还之。
武弘度，士畐兄之子，补相州司兵参军。永徽中，父卒，自徐州被发徒跣趋丧所，负土筑茔，晨夕号，日一溢米。素芝产庐前，狸扰其旁。高宗下诏褒美，旌其门。
宋思礼，字过庭，事继母徐为闻孝。补萧县主簿。会大旱，井池涸，母羸疾，非泉水不适口，思礼忧惧且祷，忽有泉出诸庭，味甘寒，日不乏汲。县人异之，尉柳晃为刻石颂其孝感。
