清史稿卷四百九十六 列传二百八十三：
程彬，字筱竹，江西乐安人。时署鲇鱼司巡检。署在省城南，十九夜见城外火起，彬驰往救护，至望山门外正街，突遇陆军炮队入城，皆袖缠白布，彬大骇，厉声问曰：“汝等反耶！此何为者？”众举枪拟之，彬益前致诘，遂遇害。以一巡检犯难而死，人皆哀而壮之。
