秦景通，常州晋陵人。
旧唐书卷一百八十九上 列传第一百三十九：
秦景通，常州晋陵人也。与弟肸，尤精《汉书》，当时习《汉书》者皆宗师之，常称景通为大秦君，暐为小秦君。若不经其兄弟指授，则谓之"不经师匠，无足采也"。景通，贞观中累迁太子洗马，兼崇贤馆学士。为《汉书》学者，又有刘纳言，亦为当时宗匠。
纳言，乾封中，历都水监主簿，以《汉书》授沛王贤。及贤为皇太子，累迁太子洗马，兼充侍读。常撰《俳谐集》十五卷，以进太子。及东宫废，高宗见而怒之。诏曰："刘纳言收其余艺，参侍经史，自府入宫，久淹岁月，朝游夕处，竟无匡赞。阙忠孝之良规，进诙谐之鄙说，储宫败德，抑有所由。情在好生，不忍加戮，宜从屏弃，以励将来。可除名。"后又坐事配流振州而死。
