皇甫璠，字景瑜，安定三水人也。世为西州著姓，后徙居京兆焉。父和，本州治中。大统末，追赠散骑常侍、仪同三司、泾州刺史。
璠少忠谨，有干略。永安中，辟州都督。太祖为牧，补主簿。以勤事被知，每蒙褒赏。大统四年，引为丞相府行参军。寻转田曹参军、东阁祭酒，加散骑侍郎。稍迁兼太常少卿、都水使者，历蕃部、兵部、虞部、民部、吏部等诸曹郎中。六官建，拜计部下大夫。
孝闵帝践阼，转守庙下大夫。以选为东道大使，抚巡州防。寻加车骑大将军、仪同三司，封长乐县子，邑五百户。出为玉壁总管府长史。保定中，迁鸿州刺史，入为小纳言。俄除陇右总管府司马，转陕州总管府长史。征拜蕃部中大夫，进骠骑大将军、开府仪同三司。复出为陇右总管府长史。璠性平和，小心奉法，安分守志，恒以清白自处。当时号为善人。
建德元年，除民部中大夫。三年，授随州刺史。政存简惠，百姓安之。其年，增邑并前二千户。六年，卒于位。赠交、渭二州刺史。谥曰恭。子谅，少知名。大象中，位至吏部下大夫。
