白时中，寿春人。
宋史卷三百七十一 列传第一百三十：
白时中，字蒙亨，寿春人。登进士第，累官为吏部侍郎。坐事，降秩知郓州，已而复召用。政和六年，拜尚书右丞、中书门下侍郎。宣和六年，除特进、太宰兼门下，封崇国公，进庆国。
始，时中尝为春官，诏令编类天下所奏祥瑞，其有非文字所能尽者，图绘以进。时中进《政和瑞应记》及《赞》。及为太宰，表贺翔鹤、霞光等事。圜丘礼成，上言休气充应，前所未有，乞宣付秘书省。时燕山日告危急，而时中恬不为虑。金人入攻，京城修守备，时中谓宇文粹中曰："万事须是涉历，非公尝目击守城之事，吾辈岂知首尾邪？"
钦宗即位，召大臣决策守京师，问谁可将者。李纲言："朝廷高爵厚禄蓄养大臣，盖将用之有事之日。时中辈虽书生，然抚将士以抗敌锋，乃其职也。"时中勃然曰："李纲莫能将兵出战乎？"纲曰："陛下傥使臣，当以死报。"于是以纲为右丞，充守御使。时中寻罢为观文殿学士、中太一宫使。御中劾时中孱懦不才，诏落职。未几，卒。
