宋史卷二百九十四 列传第五十三：
钦臣字仲至，清亮有志操，以文贽欧阳修，修器重之。用荫入官，文彦博荐试学士院，赐进士及第。历陕西转运副使。元祐初，为工部员外郎。奉使高丽，还，进太仆少卿，迁秘书少监。开封尹钱勰入对，哲宗言："此阅书诏，殊不满人意，谁可为学士者？"勰以钦臣对。哲宗曰："章惇不喜。"乃以勰为学士，钦臣领开封。改集贤殿修撰、知和州。徙饶州，斥提举太平观。徽宗立，复待制、知成德军。卒，年六十七。
钦臣平生为文至多，所交尽名士，惟嗜古，藏书数万卷，手自雠正，世称善本。
