旧五代史卷一百二十九（周书） 列传九：
王重裔，陈州宛丘人。父达，历安、均、洺三州刺史，因家于洺。重裔幼沈厚有勇，善骑射。年未及冠，事庄宗为厅直，管契丹直。从安汴、洛，累为禁军指挥使。晋天福中，镇州安重荣谋叛，称兵指阙，朝廷命杜重威率师拒之，贼阵于宗城东，晋遣齐军击之，再合不动。杜重威惧，谋欲抽退，重裔曰：“兵家忌退，但请公分麾下兵击其两翼，重裔为公陷阵，当其中军，彼必狼狈矣。”重威从之，重荣即时退蹙，遂败。以功迁护圣右厢都指挥使，领费州刺史。汉初，仍典禁军，从征邺都平，迁深州刺史。淮夷以李守贞故，数侵边地，以重裔为亳州防御使，又令于徐州巡检，兼知军州，就加检校太傅。太祖践阼，加爵邑，改功臣。广顺元年夏，以疾卒，年五十有三。赠武信军节度使。
