Biography
王连，南阳人。
三国志卷四一 蜀书十一 霍王向张杨费传：
王连字文仪，南阳人也。刘璋时入蜀，为梓潼令。先主起事葭萌，进军来南，连闭城不降，先主义之，不强逼也。及成都既平，以连为什邡令，转在广都，所居有绩。迁司盐校尉，较盐铁之利，利入甚多，有裨国用，於是简取良才以为官属，若吕乂、杜祺、刘幹等，终皆至大官，自连所拔也。迁蜀郡太守、兴业将军，领盐府如故。建兴元年，拜屯骑校尉，领丞相长史，封平阳亭侯。时南方诸郡不宾，诸葛亮将自征之，连谏以为“此不毛之地，疫疠之乡，不宜以一国之望，冒险而行”。亮虑诸将才不及己，意欲必往，而连言辄恳至，故停留者久之。会连卒。子山嗣，官至江阳太守。
