宋史卷二百七十一 列传第三十：
王晋卿，河朔人。少勇敢，为乡里所推。周世宗在澶渊，晋卿以武艺求见，得隶帐下。及即位，补东头供奉官。从战高平，征淮甸，每遣宣传密旨，甚亲信之。洎北征，为先锋都监，督战有功，诏权控鹤都虞候。克关南，授军器库使。显德四年，为龙捷右第一军都指挥使，领彭州刺史。恭帝即位，出为滨州刺史。
乾德中，为兴州刺史。四年，移汉州。时蜀初平，寇盗充斥，晋卿严武备，设方略，禽捕剪灭，靡有遗漏，自是虽剧贼无敢窥其境。然以贿闻，太祖惜其才而不问。秩满归阙，以疾求颐养，改左监门卫将军、奉朝请。贡重锦十匹、银千两以谢，诏不纳，以其黩货，愧之也。未几，诏戍北边，疆场清肃。开宝四年，复授莫州刺史。在郡谨斥候，善抚循，士卒皆乐为之用，边民安堵。六年八月卒，年六十七。
