王无咎，建昌南城人。
宋史卷四百四十四 列传第二百三：
王无咎，字补之，建昌南城人。第进士，为江都尉、卫真主簿、天台令，弃而从王安石学，久之，无以衣食其妻子，复调南康主簿，已又弃去。好书力学，寒暑行役不暂释，所在学者归之，去来常数百人。王安石为政，无咎至京师，士大夫多从之游，有卜邻以考经质疑者。然与人寡合，常闭门治书，惟安石言论莫逆也。安石上章荐其才行该备，守道安贫，而久弃不用，诏以为国子直讲，命未下而卒，年四十六。
