王奇，汾州人。
宋史卷四百五十二 列传第二百一十一：
王奇，汾州人，武举中第。章惇经营湖北溪洞，以为将领，降其酋舒光贵，缚元猛，平懿、洽等州。累迁如京副使，为湖南都监，徙广西。宜州蛮寇边，奇领兵至天河县，期旦日会战。裨将费万夜以众窃出河泥隘，战没。经略使移书迫奇，奇不能堪。后数日，蛮万人骤集，奇轻出，遂败。麾下犹数百人，劝策马逃去，奇骂曰："大丈夫当尽节以报国，何走为！"战而死。诏赠皇城使、忠州防御使，官其家六人，仍赐金帛。
