清史稿卷五百 列传二百八十七：
世德，字克承，自号霜皋，北平人。少袭锦衣卫指挥佥事。北部陷，拔刀将引决，为仆所夺，妻魏已率妇女赴井死，遂易僧服，与以樟偕隐。尝愤野史诬罔，不可传信后世，欷歔扼腕，作崇祯遗录一卷，自序之，康熙间修明史，有司录其副本上史馆。三十二年，卒，年八十有一。子源，以手藁殉葬。
