沈瀛，江苏吴县人。
清史稿卷四百九十六 列传二百八十三：
沈瀛，字士登，江苏吴县人。尝刲臂疗母疾。以劳保知县。尝从湘抚吴大澂出关，事转运，丝毫不自润。累署武陵、长沙，奏擢知府。宣统二年春，长沙以米贵肇事，□抚署，以瀛前任长沙得民心，复令摄任，缉匪赈贫，省城复安。三年八月，充营务处提调。新军既变，黄忠浩被戕。瀛方出巡，新军遮入谘议局，请为长沙守，不可；请仍宰长沙，又不可；锢诸室，令所亲劝之，至泣下，瀛曰：“官大清州县二十年，一朝背之，异日将何面目见人乎？”言已大哭。与前湘乡知县城固申锡绶同忍饥，以死节相勉。党人知不可屈，拥二人出，骂不绝口，同死之。时长沙协都司熊得寿为人狙击死。忠浩自有传。
