南齐书卷五十五 列传第三十六 孝义：
江泌，字士清，济阳考城人也。父亮之，员外郎。泌少贫，昼日斫屟，夜读书，随月光握卷升屋。性行仁义，衣弊，恐虱饥死，乃复取置衣中。数日间，终身无复虱。母亡后，以生阙供养，遇鲑不忍食。食菜不食心，以其有生意也。历仕南中郎行参军，所给募吏去役，得时病，莫有舍之者，吏扶杖投泌，泌亲自隐恤，吏死，泌为买棺。无僮役，兄弟共舆埋之。领国子助教。乘牵车至染乌头，见老翁步行，下车载之，躬自步去。世祖以为南康王子琳侍读。建武中，明帝害诸王后，泌忧念子琳，诣志公道人问其祸福。志公覆香炉灰示之曰："都尽，无所余。"及子琳被害，泌往哭之，泪尽，继之以血。亲视殡葬，乃去。时广汉王侍读严桓之亦哭王尽哀。泌寻卒。泌族人兖州治中泌，黄门郎悆子也。与泌同名。世谓泌为"孝江泌"以别之。
