清史稿卷二百六十一 列传四十八：
段应举，汉军镶蓝旗人。父思信，明广宁千总。太祖取广宁，来降，予世职备御。卒，应举袭。从端重亲王博洛讨叛将姜瓖，攻汾州及太谷，克之。复从贝勒屯齐征湖南，屡有功。累擢镶蓝旗汉军梅勒额真，进世职二等阿达哈哈番。偕镇国将军王国光赴广东，驻防潮州。康熙三年，剿叛将苏利於南塘铺，贼败遁，复碣石卫。叙功，进世职一等。寻署山东提督。十三年，率兵赴杭州剿御耿精忠，授福建提督。击贼仙居、黄岩、太平、乐清，进围温州，皆捷。十五年，从康亲王征福建，精忠降。时郑锦据漳、泉、兴化，与将军拉哈达合兵进剿，复兴化、泉州二城。复分兵定漳州及海澄等县，应举进驻海澄。十七年，刘国轩、吴淑等陷平和，穆赫林战失利，诏责应举不能平贼，调江宁提督杨捷代之，应举仍以副都统从征。寻城陷，死之。
