梁玉绳，钱塘人。
清史稿卷四百八十一 列传二百六十八：
梁玉绳，字曜北，钱塘人。增贡生。家世贵显，玉绳不志富贵，自号清白士。尝语弟履绳曰：“后汉襄阳樊氏，显重当时。子孙虽无名德盛位，世世作书生门户，原与弟共勉之！”故玉绳年未四十，弃举子业，专心撰著。其瞥记七卷，多释经之文，有裨古义。玉绳尤精乙部书，著史记志疑三十六卷，据经、传以纠乖违，参班、荀以究同异，钱大昕称其书为龙门功臣。著人表考九卷，谓班氏借用禹贡田赋九等之目，造端自马迁。史记李将军传云：“李蔡为人在下中。”其说颇是。
