宋史卷二百八十五 列传第四十四：
孙子美，绍圣中，提举湖南常平。时新复役法，子美先诸路成役书，就迁提点刑狱。建中靖国初，除尚书郎中，中书舍人邹浩封还之，改京西转运副使。谏议大夫陈次升又言："子美缘章惇姻家，连使湖外，承迎其旨意，一时逐臣在封部者，多被其虐，不宜使在近畿。"及徙成都路，累迁直龙图阁、河北都转运使，倾漕计以奉上，至捐缗钱三百万市北珠以进。崇宁间，诸路漕臣进羡余，自子美始。北珠出女真，子美市于契丹，契丹嗜其利，虐女真捕海东青以求珠。两国之祸盖基于此，子美用是致位光显。
宣和四年，以疾罢为开府仪同三司、提举嵩山崇福宫，卒，赠少保。子美为郡，纵侈残虐，然有干才，所至办治云。
