郁字袭休，宣和三年进士，再调福建茶司干官。建州勤王卒自京师还，求卸甲钱，郡守逃匿，卒鼓噪取库兵为乱，杀转运使毛奎、转运判官曾仔、主管文字沈升。郁闻变急入谕卒，遇害。事闻，诏各与一子官。
