林略，温州永嘉人。
宋史卷四百一十九 列传第一百七十八：
林略，字孔英，温州永嘉人。庆元五年，举进士。历饶州大宁监教授，辟干办四川茶马司公事。崔与之帅蜀，目之曰"此台阁之瑞也"，荐之。迁武学博士、国子监丞、太常寺丞。奉祠，拜宗正少卿兼崇政殿说书。迁右司谏，寻迁左司谏兼侍讲，告于帝曰："虚心以为从谏之本，从谏以为求治之本。"拜殿中侍御史，升侍御史，试右谏议大夫。嘉熙三年，以端明殿学士同签书枢密院事，以言罢，提举洞霄宫。以资政殿学士致仕。淳祐三年八月卒，特赠宣奉大夫。
