杨梦岩，湖南凤凰厅人。
清史稿卷四百九十 列传二百七十七：
杨梦岩，湖南凤凰厅人。诸生。入田兴恕幕。咸丰六年，兴恕率虎威军援江西，勇果名天下，梦岩实赞助之。累功由县丞擢同知。兴恕奉命援黔，以梦岩综理营务。时苗酋杨龙台煽惑诸苗，出没不时，以思南、石阡为尤甚。梦岩与田兴奇、沈宏富等焚剿之。会梦岩晋保道员，遂自领一军扼守思南。
同治元年正月，石阡贼来攻，与副将吴通才犄角扼守，会援至，贼败走。二月，梦岩帅师次浮桥，贼分道来攻，通才战死，梦岩极力鏖战，贼卒败走。三月六日，贼复数倍来攻，更番迭进，累日夜不休，营忽陷。梦岩奋臂大呼，持矛入贼阵，刺杀数人，身受十九伤，力竭死之。照布政使例赐恤，於思南及原籍建专祠。
