杨文定，安徽定远人。
清史稿卷三百九十七 列传一百八十四：
杨文定，安徽定远人。道光十三年进士。由刑部主事洊升郎中，出为广东惠潮嘉道，累擢江苏巡抚。咸丰三年，文定奏江南兵力柔脆，节经徵调，城内兵单，请济师，命山东兵二千赴援。未至，奉命守江宁，闻建瀛兵败，退守镇江。江宁陷，贼分党犯镇江，副都统文艺集兵七百守陆路，文定自率艇船八、舢板十二泊江中，贼至不能御，镇江复陷，退江阴，诏革职逮治，论大辟。六年，减死遣戍军台，寻殁。
