旧唐书卷一百七十六 列传第一百二十六：
损，字子默，以荫受官，为蓝田尉。三迁京兆府司录参军，入为殿中侍御史。家在新昌里，与宰相路岩第相接。岩以地狭，欲易损马厩广之，遣人致意。时损伯叔昆仲在朝者十余人，相与议曰："家门损益恃时相，何可拒之？"损曰："非也。凡尺寸地，非吾等所有。先人旧业，安可以奉权臣？穷达，命也。"岩不悦。会差制使鞫狱黔中，乃遣损使焉。逾年而还，改户部员外郎、洛阳县令。入为吏部员外，出为绛州刺史。路岩罢相，征拜给事中，迁京兆尹。卢携作相，有宿憾，复拜给事中，出为陕虢观察使。时军乱，逐前使崔荛。损至，尽诛其乱首。逾年，改青州刺史、御史大夫、淄青节度使。又检校刑部尚书、郓州刺史、天平军节度使。未赴郓，复留青州，卒于镇。
技进士及第，位至中书舍人。
拭官终考功员外郎。捴终兵部郎中。拭、捴并进士擢第。
