宋史卷三百五 列传第六十四：
伟字子奇，幼学于亿。天禧元年献颂，召试学士院，赐进士及第。以试秘书省校书郎知衢州龙游县，再补蕲州录事参军，国子监荐为直讲。驸马都尉李遵勖守澶州，辟签书镇宁军节度判官事。迁大理寺丞、知河间县，再迁太常博士。用近臣荐，为集贤校理、通判单州。会巡检部卒李素合州卒二百余人，谋杀巡检使，入鼓角门，州将不敢出。伟挺身往问曰："若属何为而反？"俱曰："将有诉于州，非反也。"伟曰："持兵来，非反而何？若属皆有父母妻子，以一朝忿而欲鱼肉之乎？"悉令投兵，坐籍首恶得十余人，斩之。徙知祥符县、提点开封府界诸县镇公事，权开封府判官，又判三司开拆司，累迁尚书兵部员外郎、同修起居注。
伟清慎，无治剧才，常秉小笏以朝。知制诰缺。中书以伟名进。仁宗曰："此非秉小笏者邪？"遂命知制诰，权谏院。尝曰："谏臣宜陈列大事，细故何足论。"然当时讥其亡补。迁刑部郎中，为翰林学士。祀明堂，迁右司郎中、判太常寺，为群牧使兼侍读学士，进中书舍人。卒，赠尚书礼部侍郎。
